By green, I mean I've joined the health bandwagon and have started...

Juicing!
I have been drinking a Mean Green Juice for the last two weeks.

It took just a day to get used to, but the hubby and I have gotten it down to a science.
Our friends shared their recipe with us, so I thought I could share it with all of you!

Live a little!
Mean Green Juice
(makes 4 servings)
one handful/bunch of spinach
2-3 stems/leaves of kale
1 cucumber (peeled)
1 green apple (cored)
1 pear (cored)
1/2 tsp of ginger
3 tbsp of agave
4 cups of water
1 cup of frozen blueberries
1 tsp of lemon juice
Blend kale and spinach with two cups of water first
add everything else with the last two cups of water
Chill in the fridge
Serve cold
I usually blend my serving again with some ice before drinking it
What we've learned:
* I've noticed it taste better with a little more ginger
* The apple and pear give it sweetness
* This week we substituted one cup of water
for a cup of carrot juice (homemade) just to spice things up
Also, I've almost ten pounds since juicing.
I juice for breakfast and dinner, have a normal-healthy-portioned lunch, and two snacks (usually fruit and some nuts or a yogurt with crunchy granola) and I've minimized my coffee intake.
I'm feeling happy and glorious.
